Supercook bakes up a fresh look with new Dr. Oetker branding
Bakers will see the UK’s number one home baking brand, SuperCook start to introduce the Dr. Oetker logo across all packaging for its home baking range in the coming months as its products move towards Dr. Oetker branding.
The re-brand recognises the acquisition in 2007 of SuperCook, the leading UK home baking brand by Dr. Oetker, a family-owned German food group which specialises in, quality food products, worldwide.
The UK home baker can still expect the same high quality ingredients and excellent results from all the SuperCook products which include vanilla extract, baking powder, hundreds & thousands, marzipan, icings and cake mixes.
With its strong baking heritage and reputation for outstanding products across Europe, family run business Dr. Oetker is a great cultural fit with the SuperCook brand, which has been loved by British households for over 30 years.
In 1891, German pharmacist Dr. August Oetker, was responsible for introducing baking powder in convenient single use sachets. Each sachet was exactly the right amount needed to make the perfect Gugelhupf cake – the German equivalent of the famous Victoria sponge cake. The product was an immediate hit with housewives and since then Dr. Oetker baking products have gone from strength to strength.
2008 will see home bakers being treated to a host of new Dr. Oetker / SuperCook products including a Tarte au Chocolat baking mix (part of a range of French Patisserie Baking Mixes), a Princess Sparkle Choco Lolly Kit, Fun Baking Cases and a Select Toffee & Muscavado Crumble Topping amongst others.
