Chewy Muesli Bars recipe

Ingredients

  • 100g (4oz) unsalted butter
  • 100g (4oz) light brown sugar
  • 75g (3oz) golden syrup
  • 250g (9oz) sugar-free muesli
  • 2.5ml (½ tsp) Dr. Oetker Natural Vanilla Extract
  • 200g Dr. Oetker Scotbloc Milk Chocolate Flavour Covering
  • Dr. Oetker Chocolate Strands

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC/350ºF/Gas Mark 4.  Grease and line a 18cm (7 inch) cake tin.
  2. Place sugar, butter and golden syrup in a saucepan and heat until gently melted.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in muesli and Natural Vanilla Extract.  Press into prepared tin and bake for 20 – 25 minutes until golden and bubbling.  Leave to cool completely.
  4. Melt Scotbloc according to the pack instructions and cover each bar.  Sprinkle with Chocolate Strands and set aside to cool.
