Fruit and Nut Clusters recipe

Ingredients

  • 175g (6oz) Dr. Oetker Plain or Extra Dark Continental Chocolate (broken into pieces)
  • 50g (2oz) chopped walnuts
  • 50g (2oz) mixed dried fruit
  • 50g (2oz) Dr. Oetker White Mini Marshmallows
  • a few drops Dr. Oetker Rum or Vanilla Flavouring
  • Dr. Oetker Petit Four Cases

To decorate

  • Dr. Oetker Mini Chocolate Flakes to decorate

Method

  1. Line a large baking sheet with greaseproof paper.
  2. Place the Continental Chocolate pieces in a heatproof bowl. Place the bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water. Heat gently, stirring until melted.
  3. Remove the bowl from the water and stir in the nuts, fruit, Mini Marshmallows and Rum or Vanilla Flavouring until well mixed.
  4. Pile 16 heaped teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto the lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with Mini Chocolate Flakes and leave in a cool place until set.
  5. To serve, peel away from the paper and place in Petit Four Cases.
